Strength and Flexibility

Flexibility and core strength are fundamental in the practice of both Yoga and Taichi. It is the base of the structure of health we are trying to build.

foundations, our structure will be weak to withstand any and all internal or external
influences. We need to hone the whole body to achieve our goal of health, but we
need to start with the base.


In this course we shall focus on strengthening our stances in Taichi, which shall
helps us with our forms and technique. All of the strengthening will be natural and
done solely using our own body. By gaining strength in this way, we shall greatly
help with our balance as well, which will be key not only in Taichi, but also Yoga.
Flexibility will be the focus of the second part of the class, as this is another
fundamental aspect. This will not only enable us to perform various forms (tai chi)
and asanas (yoga), but also allow our bodies to enjoy daily activities. Low
flexibility, it will constrain your progress greatly
