What is fasting? – Last Part

Many people of the past and present claim fasting is a panacea and that through fasting we can even heal diseases. Is that really true? Does fasting cure disease? The natural hygienists and Neo natural hygienists do not believe there are thousands of diseases produced by some kind of invisible enemy. We believe the source doesn’t lie outside of the human body, but can be easily backtracked to our modern day habits of living. Disease as the term is used today is actually a cure in itself. Hence, consider the following questions that Dr Shelton used in order to respond whenever asked about whether fasting can heal us.

What is fasting? – Part 03

Is it not obvious that if fasting suppresses Vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, inflammation, fever and the other symptoms that make up what we commonly today refer to as a disease, it would be as evil as drugging, to call fasting the fasting cure? The hunger cure or the abstinence cure, as many have done before, is to place it in a false light, unless of course, we understand that by cure what is originally meant is care. Care for the patient, care for the body. Fasting is part of rational care for the sick body. It does not cure disease as the word cure is now commonly used.

What is fasting? – Part 02

“The blood is life and the blood is made of food. As is the food, so is the blood. Pure food makes pure blood. Pure blood builds up a healthy body. The vital character of the blood is very strongly asserted also in the scriptures. Let us, however, begin at the beginning. The very germs of all animals are made from the blood of those animals and the blood from their food…From conception to birth, it is the food of the mother that nourishes and builds up the child. In the natural order, for about a year, the food of the mother converted into her blood and then into her milk, still nourishes the body of the child. Hour by hour the blood is circulating through all parts of the body, carrying the matter of nutrients to every part, carrying also all the waste, foul and deceased matter to be expelled from the body.“

What is a Good Teacher? Where to find your Guru? – Last Part

My last memorable moment. Came when we had to perform a full day ritual. Which was designed by our main instructor. The idea was not to talk the whole day with anyone, too fast the whole day. And it went as far as we were not allowed to look into anyone’s eyes because in this way we are also communicating. On top of that, we got a lemon. Into which we were supposed to infuse all our bad karma. Or bad experiences, bad relations if we had some animosity, words, someone, etcetera.

On top of that, he also made his students happy. So it was a win-win in his eyes. And he never looked back.
